This procedure, also known as the Vampire facial is increasingly popular in the Far East. It involves taking the patient’s own blood and spinning it in a centrifuge to separate it into its’ constituent layers. The heavier red blood cells are spun to the bottom of the tube, and a layer in the middle, containing high concentrations of growth factors and platelets can be siphoned off. This can then be placed in particular areas of concern.
How many treatments are necessary?
An average of three, at six weekly intervals.
Price of treatment
£300
My opinion
I have yet to see any astounding results with this treatment. I suspect some of the positive effects are due to a micro traumatising effect also noted with dermarollering. I feel it is worth trying in conjunction with dermarollering collagen induction in areas that are otherwise difficult to treat. E.g. necks and under eyes.
